Giving and Maecenas

Restoration of Claude Monet’s house and gardens has only been possible thanks to the support of numerous American and French Maecenas. Their givings and legacies are parts of the Maecenas’ traditions of the "Académie des Beaux-Arts" and "Institut de France".

The Versailles Foundation  is a non profit making association 501 ( c) (3), allowing an exemption of taxes for the American taxpayers. Its purpose is to promote Franco-American friendship and cultural exchanges, mainly by bringing its support to preservation, maintenance and rehabilitation of famous French historic buildings.
 
Today, its main objects are the financial side of projects and the help to the operation of the "Musée Claude Monet" in Giverny and the "Château de Versailles".
 
The foundation receives and accepts givings and legs with or without precised affectation in order to assume the financial part of actual or future programs.
